The Museum of Ridiculously Interesting Things shares this awesome and not at all ridiculous thing – a brown velvet hat decorated with rotten human teeth. Extracted by a traveling tooth puller in mid-1800s London, the teeth hat was meant to reassure prospective patients that the street dentist had the skills needed to remove a rotten tooth without risk of pain or infection.

Remove the tooth? Maybe. Without pain? Doubtful. But he looked amazing.

We would like to read about a character wearing this hat.

(Heck, we’d like to own this hat.)
