In a guest post on Jane Friedman’s blog, Lisa Tener suggests a trio of thought-provoking writing prompts.
Our favorite: What would you write if you were bold enough to tackle the challenge? Tener shares a few anecdotes about her grandmothers, but says she’s resisted writing about them because she’s afraid she won’t be able to do them justice. She’s also a bit intimidated by the idea she might unearth family secrets she’d rather not know.
So…what would you write if you were bold enough to do so? What topics, themes, characters, or stories intimidate you? Why? What would it take for you put those ideas on the page?
