Archaeologists in Germering, Germany, have unearthed a 3,000-year-old wooden wishing well filled with over 100 well-preserved artifacts. Experts believe that people left the objects as ritual offerings or religious sacrifices, possibly to ask for divine help during an extended drought. Archaeologists found more than 70 finely crafted clay vessels, 26 bronze robe pins, jewelry, a mounted animal tooth, and utensils.
Who placed these objects there and for what purpose? What mystic power might be enshrined in a religious site holding the wishes of hundreds of people? What could possibly go wrong when those wishes are unearthed? What happens next?
