A team of archaeologists from Petrozavodsk State University in Russia discovered the burial site of a Copper Age man who was buried with more than 100 pieces of amber jewelry. The man was also painted with ocher, a red pigment often used to mark graves so they would not be disturbed. The amber jewelry included pendants, discs, and buttons, with some sewn into a leather shroud. Researchers believe the man was of high social standing, noting that individual graves of that era are rare, as are burials with a large number of jewels.
Who was he? How will he react to this disturbance of his grave? Do you see parallels to modern life? What happens next?
