A post on Mysterious Universe shares the stories of a vacationing woman who missed a doomed flight, but was killed in a car accident as soon as she got home; a woman who skipped a party that ended in flames but was soon after killed in a car accident; a woman who missed a mass shooting event by minutes and was later killed in a different mass shooting hundreds of miles away; a man who escaped being injured in a car accident only to be struck by a passing bus; a teenager who survived a plane crash but was crushed by a rescue truck; and a man who survived the crash of a hot air balloon only to fall off the mountain where he landed.
Without swiping the plot of Final Destination, what would you do with bizarre circumstances like this? How could you write these stories without making them seem too strange to be true? What were these characters’ last thoughts? What happened to their families?
