During an interview with the Write the Book podcast, Joy Cohen suggests a writing prompt popular with her students. First, create a list of 10 characters, either people you know, acquaintances, celebrities, or fictional characters. Then create a list of 10 activities. Set the lists aside for a few days. Then, pick two numbers. For your exercise, choose the character corresponding with your first number and the activity for your second. See what happens!
