No News is Good News. Or is it?

On April 18, 1930, the BBC announced it had no news. For its 8:45 p.m. bulletin, the announcer simply stated, “There is no news,” and returned the remainder of the time to music. The reporters at the time said there was no news worth sharing.

Inconceivable in 2022. Even when the news is slow, the media will dig up old information and reframe it for clicks and shares. But that got us thinking. What would have to happen to silence the news for a day? What if there were literally nothing new to report? What happens next?
