Just Like Mummy Made

If you think modern health crazes are nuts, you’ll love this. For centuries, Europeans ground up and ingested mummy remains as medicinal remedies. Created from human remains stolen from Egypt, apothecaries ground and tinctured mummy parts believed to cure everything from headaches to bubonic plague. Referred to as mumia, the remedies were occasionally made from recently-dead peasants rather than the bound remains of ancient royalty, proving that con men will do anything for a buck.

A mumia feast seems like a great setting for a story. What other nauseating delectables might your characters enjoy, if a mummy isn’t available? What happens next? (What could possibly go wrong??)
