Has Anyone Told the Bees?

After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the official royal beekeeper was tasked with the job of informing the palace bee colonies that their master had died. The old tradition is based on the superstition that bees will cease producing honey if not informed of their master’s death. Upon hearing the news of the queen’s passing, John Chapple visited Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, where he tied black ribbons about each of the hives. Chapple informed the bees of the news and assured them that there new master would be good to them. The tradition has been dated back to Celtic mythology, when bees were considered messengers between our world and the spirit world.

I wonder how the bees took the news? What if they aren’t fond of Charles? Who else needed to be informed of the Queen’s death? Has anyone told the dragons? What happens next?
