In a new post, Mary Carroll Moore shares tips for finding an online writing group in a post-COVID world. “If you’re working on a book, as I’ve said often in these posts, you need ongoing support,” she says. “It’s very challenging to write, develop, and submit a book in isolation.”

Moore recommends that you and your writing partner be at approximately the same spot in your writing, as it will be easier to maintain your relationship if you have similar needs for feedback and resources. She also recommends first deciding what kind of relationship you need. For example, do you want an accountability partner to keep you on track with your writing goals? Or do you want someone who can give you feedback on your work in progress? You might want to find other writers who are ready to publish, to share resources about agents and publishing options.
