Attack Your Writing When It Least Expects It

A post on the Writers Write blog shares writing advice from renowned SF forefather H.G. Wells. We love #1: “If you are in difficulties with a book, try the element of surprise: attack it at an hour when it isn’t expecting it.”

Yes! Switching up your writing routine is a great way to work through a place where you’re stuck. If you normally write in the morning, take a note pad to bed and jot a few lines before you go to sleep. If you write at night, do the opposite. Try to work through your problem area first thing in the morning. Try it!
