In a post on the Mythcreants blog, Chris Winkle tackles a question from a writer working on a story with multiple points of view. His question – how to run the dual story threads smoothly and concurrently, and how to keep the secondary POV relevant.
Winkle advises establishing complementary goals for the characters in the separate POVs, and clearly show how the characters are connected by the plot. He also recommends having the separate POV characters influence the other’s storyline, up to and including having the characters cross paths.
