our range of species cut in half.
Fertility be thanked, the mass of humankind can only peak.
The fossil fuels consumed by all will melt the poles in fewer years.
Atomic fuels have waste we coffin up and hope that it won’t leak.
Should any resource grow too short, then plot the outcome on a graph:
The club of nations with the Bomb gets bigger even as I speak.
Please fiddle louder, if you will—the nearing flames distress our ears.
