Fortunately, Blunt Instrument sets her straight &#8211; writers should write what they write, even if its lyrical magic realism.<\/p>\n<p><em>Big Pulp<\/em> wholeheartedly agrees. Writers should never force a story that doesn&#8217;t interest them, even if the genre is hot for five minutes. By the time you finish your book, the publishing world will have moved on to the next thing.<\/p>\n<p>For this site&#8217;s purposes, I like being surprised. I&#8217;m also fickle and cantankerous. My close friends can&#8217;t guess what I&#8217;m thinking next.
