Number 1 seems important &#8211; You didn&#8217;t know how your script (or novel) was going to end before you started writing. &#8220;How can you possibly build to any cinematic climax meant to shock or thrill audiences without knowing the ending while you\u2019re writing the script?&#8221; Miyamoto asks.<\/p>\n<p>Other reasons your surprise ending might be a surprise letdown?
