K.C. Ball lives in Seattle, a stone’s throw from Puget Sound. Her short stories have appeared in numerous venues, including Analog, Lightspeed, Flash Fiction Online, and Murky Depths, and included in a number of anthologies, including Writers of the Future XXVI, A Quiet Shelter There, and 2013: The Aftermath. Her novel, Lifting Up Veronica, appeared in online serialization and print in 2012, from Every Day Publications. Her first short story collection, Snapshots from a Black Hole & Other Oddities, was released in 2012 by Hydra House Books. K.C. won the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future award in 2009. She is a 2010 graduate of the Clarion West writers workshop and an active member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America.
