Jason Reynolds lives in the mountains of North Carolina with his wife, Jennifer, and their two beloved dogs, Charlie and Bowie. He teaches literature and humanities, and, in his free time, writes speculative fiction pieces. “The Sirens of McIlvaine Gap” was inspired specifically by Lovecraft’s “The Music of Erich Zann” and, more generally, by his philosophy of cosmicism. This story is a weird inversion of Lovecraft’s worldview. Jason’s work has appeared in ResAliens, The Horror Zine, and the anthology A Feast of Frights. You can follow him online.
