On August 14, 1908, the Sheboygan Press reported on the ghost haunting Old St. Paul’s church. In addition to haunting the premises, the ghost answered calls when no one was in. Though its responses to callers were brief, they suggested a more than passing familiarity with the staff’s schedule. The ghost was so good at its volunteer job, callers often didn’t know they weren’t speaking to a member of the staff.
